Planning for the Future of Education for Sustainable Development Organized by: UNESCO ( • Based on the Rio +20 results, this roundtable side event presents current and prospective plans for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) following the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD) 2005- 2014, for which UNESCO is the lead entity. • There will also be an opportunity to involve the different WEEC network stakeholders in the implementation of a future framework for the Education for Sustainable Development program.
