    Making events like the WEEC greener is a significant contribution in the pursuit of sustainability. In terms of greenhouse gas emissions, transport has the greatest effect on the event. The Marrakech Appeal Has Been Launched

At the end of the closing ceremony of the 7th WEEC (World Environmental Education Congress), held from 9 to 14 June in Marrakech (Morocco), an Appeal was launched to emphasise the role of environmental education and the need to activate more and more political and economic tools in this sector.
The appeal was drawn up by a selection of the more than 1,800 delegates who attended this year's lavish WEEC (ten years old this year), which was organized by the Permanent Secretariat of the WEEC Network (chaired by Mario Salomone) in collaboration with the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Environment, the local organizing Committee.
A comprehensive document assessing the congress and the recommendations will soon be available.
